I’ve been playing around with GNU/Linux based operating systems since 1996. During some periods, it has done everything I needed it to do, but mostly it has been found wanting in some perhaps small, but extremely important areas – mainly due to my Microsoft-centric work environment.

It is a great system for specific tasks, though, but I’m sorry to say I’m too lazy and/or pragmatic to live up to Richard Stallmans view on free software, and accept a system that does almost what I need it to do and write own code that fixes what doesn’t.
